Nude Photography 03

Briefing: I was approached by a TV presenter, that doing 35 years, wanted to have anude photo shoot with treatment of men’s magazine. This test would appear as areminder and if someone is interested, we could publish it.

Production: We decided by common agreement that production would be in a different house in a luxury condominium. Would be taken quite accessories, some lingerie, and also the service of a full time makeup artist, who was chosen the competent Marcos Antunes.

Photo Shoot: We arrived early at the location, and a good surprise, the house was wonderful. A quick tour, along with Renato Moraes, who would do a mix with the making of test and marking of sets is defined. Time to install the equipment. In this case I opted for a generator flash Atek, with umbrellas and scrim jim and camera as the Canon 5D Mark, that the option to make cut in post production to stay viable. All done, let’s shoot.

Comment: When photographing nudes always enjoy working with experienced professionals in this type of picture, and use a lot of relaxed conversation, to let the model’s confortable, and get a result that pleases everyone involved, even those whoenjoy the photos. Unfortunately I can not post pictures yet, but I leave you with the test video.

Another post! This picture was very fun to do, and at the end of the shoot, eat.
Briefing: I was looking for a restaurant to produce a photo for an announcement of year end and would be used for magazine advertisement and banners. The idea would basically produce a dish that had a Christmas atmosphere, would be visually attractive and not necessarily a dish sophisticated and expensive. The choice of Chester was the one that proved the most accurate.
Production: I must confess that I am not very adept at photographing food, given the difficulties of enforcement. But in this case, as the restaurant owner was willing to produce it by following a few guidelines of the photographer, we moved forward. The photograph of food has many secrets, but one is that the best pictures are produced with the dishes coming out of the stove, with its brightness and a minus retouch! Food like food!
Execution: I chose to use a movie set with lights, because it would have a better control on the lighting! General illumination was made with a Chinese lantern, 2000 K,
Fresnel against the light and sides with the Mandrake distribution. How were pictures for magazines, I chose a Nikon D70s (8mpx, but a fabulous color) and loved and idolized Nikkor 85 1.8 mechanics. Made the test light, and the product well made and beautifully decorated in less than 30 minutes the picture was produced.
Additional Comment: As I am increasingly inclined to take photos in the traditional manner, dealing with the digital equipment only as a substitute for film, with care in production, running light and click on the whim, the final picture was absolutely free Photoshop, only items Color in Lightroom.

Hello! Friends of this blog, I’m back after another long absence. Today’s post is a photo I have this week and that gave me an enormous pleasure for the result. I was hired to run a photograph of a clinic for aesthetic and theme of the campaign is to show a picture that associate a perfect skin to a touch of sophistication. In the pre-meeting photo, it was determined that the production had to be simple, not to steal the focus, which would be the beauty. With some ideas, previously filtered, which won the piece was a reminder Breakfast at Tiffany’s, it would be a good link to all the concepts you want in the campaign. Model chosen, Nathan Tabata (First), make up, production at hand, let’s set, which is the diagram below. The shoot went quickly, because everything was all oiled and then happened some thing that causes us not to abandon the profession. When the session was that moment of relaxation, the model set yet, I saw a scene that reminded me of Sharon Stone in the movie The Specialist. New positioning and a few clicks and ok! Let’s go home, it’s too late. In the following day I am called the agency and surprise! The picture would not be conveyed to the lay out, but one of the last outlets!!

This case has my respect to the Creative Director of Seabra & Terreri, Victor Seabra that inside your talent, you accept the greatness of another creation, which is not his, but that has added value to the campaign’s biggest customer.

Photographer or VideoMaker?

The digital age is growing. When you think everything was placed in a digital camera, appear more news to torment the most consumed. The hit of the moment, are Dlsr which also makes videos. Canon came out in front with a powerful 5MarkIII making videos with quality equal or superior to many cameras for video professionals. Why not be outdone, Nikon launched the D90, in lower resolution, yet to be seen with respect. After other releases, which already is hard to describe, other models are launched. For photographs of the social area, is some questions: Who will leave the scene? The Video maker or photographer? Is one of the two will service both for the same price of one? With respect to quality, I give a link to my partner who works in the area of commercial videos made with a Nikon D5000.

Hello, friends. After a while without appearing to new posts due to professional commitments, I am back, asking apology to readers of this blog.

The subject today is the difficulty to photograph things that are apparently easy. The mission was photographing a simple coffee bean to use the opening of a catalog industry. We started with the task of choosing a grain perfect in shape, texture and crumb well apparent. Nearly 3 hours later to examine 2 pounds of coffee, grain by grain, find at least 4 grains that could be our perfect models. Let us then to the picture. To answer the lay-out the picture would be in final size 20×30 cm, which demand a great quality in the catchment, which would be done with RAW capture each with approximately 12 megapixels. This draw from the scene, the old Sony H9 which is capable of shooting with 3 cm of proximity. Then decided to use a macro to 100 mm, which left the grain with approximately a 1:1 ratio, which was insufficient to achieve the desired proportion. Solution 02: put an inverted lens, which solved the problem of proportion, but returned another, the lens was so close I did shadow, the light that should be hard to emphasize textures. Resolution 3: shoot in the sun, a light that would be a razor shape and solve the problem. Except that photos on external, there is a wind factor that in the slightest breeze insisted swing the granule of coffee. Thanks to a providential chewing gum, I decided the last barrier. Brought to the computer, the image pleased to Elton Lança, the director of art, which participated in the whole process and felt in the skin the joys of an advertising photographer. Time of production: 7 hours.

The power of image

A large part of humanity lives today under the power of image. We are bombarded by it all the time, the outdoor ads are increasing, in tvs, in magazines. Finally, an avalanche already provided by the film director Ridley Scott, in his classic film Blade Runner. And in the midst of this massacre is that if visual highlight some photographers, who with his touch of genius can draw the attention and in some cases become the center of the controversy. Without shadow of doubt, one of these, it Oliviero Toscani. The photographer managed, with your photos, build brands and destroy concepts. Who does not remember the famous image of a priest kissing a nun? Inspiration for Photography

From where comes the inspiration? For each type of artist it occurs in different ways. I remember a film about Pollock, which showed that his inspiration came when he saw footprints and dripping paint falling from his brush. One of the ways that inspire me are very videos clips, with its associated images to music, that really lead me to a trip, which usually lead me to a creative start. This video is part of this collection I worship, and apart from everything he’s still a class of photography. This videowere directed by David Finche and it format with photos of expensive editorial is a bottomless pit of inspiration.

Nude is Art?(2)

One of the items to be considered in a work of art is its originality. Then a photograph of the naked, besides having a tenue line between obscenity, as I said earlier, has yet to be extremely original. I believe that the photo must have a speech and this must be our imagination to other horizons, and that its implementation has this strain of creativity and talent to become a work of art. In this post I would cite Elena & Vitale Vasilieva, especially in this serie of women fill in mud. I find it very original, and took me to think about the studies in clay, and that will be the basis for large sculptures as the Pietá, for example.
